Welcome to Mrbrewerskids.com
Dear Parents,
Welcome to Room 28's website! I am a firm believer that strong parent-teacher communication is essential in order to maximize student learning. With that in mind, it is my hope that this website will help you communicate with me. In addition to having the option of calling me at school (294-6385 x3028) or sending a note with your child, I can also be reached via e-mail. If you ever have a question, concern, or something you would like to share with me, please feel free to use the e-mail link located just under the Parents header. I check my e-mail multiple times each day (and during evenings and weekends) and make it a priority to be prompt in responding to messages. You may also contact me via my cell phone. The number was given to you at Back-to-School night.
Another goal of mine is that mrbrewerskids.com will help keep you up-to-date on what we're learning in the classroom. Parents can find a listing of weekly classwork assignments on the Assignments page. In order to give you an idea of what's to come, important dates for things like upcoming tests and projects will be constantly updated on the Calendar page. If you want a more detailed look at what we're learning in the classroom, you can visit The Daily View, a page filled with student-written articles on what's taking place in Room 28. As the year progresses, the Art page will display the work of artists we study, as well as student-created artwork. Finally, be sure to take some time and listen to Brewer Buzz, our classroom's very own podcast!
Want another way to stay connected? If you're on Twitter, consider following me (@mrbrewerskids.com) as I tweet about upcoming tests/quizzes, website updates, and things relating to the classroom. Be sure to sign up for "Remind" This is a program that sends instant updates about lots of things going on in the classroom directly to your mobile deivce or email. Look on the home page for more details. Also we will be using Class Dojo this year to help keep parents advised as to how their student is doing through out the day. All these sign ups will be explained at Back-to-School Night.
Since material published to the Internet can be seen by the world, parent permission must be obtained before I can display children's work on this site. For details on exactly how student work will be displayed, please view our Classroom Website Consent Form .
Again, welcome to Room 28's home on the Web. Any feedback regarding how I can make this site better would be greatly appreciated. If you would like more information for parents please click on the links below. Enjoy the site!
Thanks to Mr. Coley for his guidance on this page.
